- Chris Ellis and King St Clair purchased an existing business from their retiring employer Mr. Frank Smith in 1973.
- the business operates from 16 Maxwell Street. In 1981 Kingsley St Clair moved to Queensland.
- The business remains in the same location, with expansions over the years to include a showroom and additional workshop/storage space at 13 – 15 Maxwell St.
